Samantha Bennett is a fine artist and illustrator working in
the Baltimore- Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area. For
most of her professional career, she has worked as a
commissioned fine artist, creating commissioned portraiture,
mural arts, landscapes, and illustrations. One of Samantha’
s greatest strengths is the ability to create work in almost
any style or medium. She has painted hundreds of works
and has shown her paintings in a variety of venues through
out the country.
Samantha began her profession at the age of 15, creating
local murals in Newark, Ohio. By high school Samantha
had completed over 25 art courses. She then went on to
study fine arts and illustration at the Columbus College of
Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio.
At nine months old Samantha survived a deadly form of
meningitis, leaving her with numerous amputations of her
fingers. During a critique, an instructor once said, “ You are
truly blessed to create art with these hands. You have more
talent in these three fingers than most people do with ten.”
It was those words of encouragement that still drive
Samantha to create her art today.
While continuing her career as a commissioned artist and
illustrator, Samantha also explores her own creative vision.
Currently she is working on a series of colorful portrait
paintings dedicated to infant loss remembrance.
